We worked closely with our client and their brief to great a modern, clean kitchen based around family life with a sit-down dining space as well as casual island seating. The kitchen is truly designed to be the heart of home, suited around the family’ love of cooking home cooked food every day.

The kitchen needed to contemporary, stylised and fitted the aesthetic of the exterior of the house. We brought in a mixture of textures such as bronze, different timber grains and detailed marbles. The client was always keen on using multiple timber and paint finishes, the light oak details are there to mimic the skirting and internal doors colour, whilst the black oak creates drama on the island under the fabulous marble top. The marble top has a great edge detail also -this is stacked up to create a really thick edge.

The layout is broken down into sections, you have the dining area with integrated bench seat and drinks cabinets. This area promotes the family sitting down to eat and catch up each night, it also gave us the opportunity to bring in the black timber colour so it relates to the island. A large part of the brief was also based around the separate utility / back kitchen space. This is a dark green room that functions so well for the needs for the family, creating a space for necessities such as laundry, storage and an area for pets to keep the main kitchen free of clutter.

The island is the main cooking area, it features a BORA down drafting hob so when cooking you can face out to the view and also converse with the people in the kitchen. It’s a very social space to cook. The remaining area is the coffee station to the right hand side of the utility door. This has a little sink and coffee machine so you can make the perfect flat white.

This kitchen also features fantastic appliances such as the BORA XBO oven which uses a steam cooking system, allowing food to cook to perfection and clean themselves. The Liebherr Monolith is an immense 900mm wide fridge which has enough space to feed an army! And with the Quooker taps, boiling hot, sparking and filtered water is always on hand.
