This beautiful indoor, outdoor space is the formal living area within this home. We felt it important to ensure every room had a purpose so each space would get used, this space is for entertaining guests on a summers evening whilst enjoying the vista over the hill. There are two separate lounge areas within the room and another seating space on the terrace so a party of guests could socialise in smaller groups. This space is adjacent to the kitchen so the drinks fridge and nibbles are easily reached.
This home was made primarily from timber, so in this space we opted to tone down the amount of timber by covering the beams on the ceiling to create a calming neutral space with an adult feel. The sofas have a curved back to lead you around the back of them towards the outside space.
The level between the indoor and outdoor space is the same so when the door is open the space flows.
