JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee high-value cabinet-making projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects valued at £1M+, deep knowledge of cabinet manufacturing, experience within the construction projects and capability of coordinating with customers and installation teams. CAD proficiency is essential to ensure seamless collaboration between design and production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Project Planning & Management: Lead end-to-end project delivery, from initial planning to final installation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
· Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary contact for clients, architects, designers, and contractors, ensuring smooth communication and expectations management.
· Technical Oversight: Interpret and review CAD drawings, ensuring alignment with production capabilities and installation requirements.
· Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and implement value engineering where required.
· Team Leadership: Work closely with production teams, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to project timelines.
· Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Identify potential issues early, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure projects remain on track.
· Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards in craftsmanship, materials, and finishes, ensuring client satisfaction.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
· Minimum 5 years of project management experience in cabinet making, joinery, or construction.
· Proven experience in delivering projects valued at £1M+.
· Strong understanding of bespoke furniture manufacturing and site installation processes.
Technical Skills:
· Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Project Management Skills:
· Good understanding of project lifecycle, budget management, and risk assessment.
· Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Construction Knowledge:
· Familiarity with construction processes, including site coordination and subcontractor management.
· Understanding of building regulations and compliance requirements.
Soft Skills:
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and coordinate teams.
· Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Degree or certification in Project Management, Construction, or Joinery-related fields.
· CSCS card or relevant site safety qualification.
· Experience with ERP or project management software
